Circulating blood from the heart to every part of the body, and back again, is one of the body’s most important functions. Each time the heart beats (60-70 times per minute, resting) blood is forced into the arteries pushing against the arterial walls. This force is known as blood pressure and is measured with two numbers. The first or top (larger) number is the systolic pressure, or maximum pressure as the heart beats. The bottom number is the diastolic pressure, which is when the heart is at rest between beats. Although it varies with each person, 120/80 is usually considered “normal”, and pressures that deviate too far from the normal range can spell trouble.

High blood pressure, or hypertension, is a very common circulatory issue. High blood pressure is dangerous because it causes the heart to overwork, contributes to the hardening of arteries and later may lead to heart failure. Often specific causes for high blood pressure are unknown. However, many factors can play a role, including smoking, alcohol, being overweight, poor diet, too much salt, lack of exercise, too much stress, and chronic kidney, adrenal, and thyroid disorders.

Preventing high blood pressure may be as simple as maintaining a healthy lifestyle. A nutritious, low fat diet high in vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and lean proteins, coupled with regular exercise and other stress relieving activities, can have a profound effect on heart and circulatory health.

Blood Pressure Formula Is A Chinese Herbal Blend That Combines Many Different Ingredients In A Multi-Faceted Approach To Circulatory Health.

Originally introduced in 2001, it has been a best seller for many years, until it was slightly reformulated in 2012 to make it even more cost-effective, as well as vegan-friendly.

Our approach to blood pressure is tonic in nature, focused on helping the body to better regulate itself, rather than simply hammering on symptoms directly. We use a complex blend of many herbs, including Gastrodia and Gambia which have been used traditionally for the relief of headaches, dizziness, numbness in extremities and tinnitus that often accompany blood pressure problems. Other ingredients include Gardenia fruit, Chinese Motherwort, Eucommia Bark and Mulberry Mistletoe, which are traditionally used to support the liver and kidneys. Improving blood flow through the kidneys and liver can help support healthy blood pressure throughout the body. Other herbs included in the formula help to relieve stress, aid gallbladder function and balance other body systems to provide gentle circulatory support.
